What is Image Recognition?
Image recognition, in the context of machine vision, is the ability of software to identify objects, places, people, writing and actions in images.
I know what you are thinking now! It is when Facebook asks you if you want to tag someone in a picture. Well yes, that as well! But it is so much more than that.
Apart from the obvious areas of application for
i.e. the automotive industry (self-driving cars could not exist without the ability of image and object recognition), let’s talk about what image recognition mean for the comms industry.
