Sector K9 can assistance with the administrative side of Police K9.  We help you develop your
        supervision staff and prepare them for their role as a supervisor assigned to oversee the K9
        Unit.  We help them understand the requirements for effective records keeping and
        maintenance training to increase credibility and reduce liability in low frequency high liability
        circumstances.  Sector K9 helpʼs you develop a competent and credible team from the actual
        K9, to the handler and ultimately the unit's leadership.


        One very popular part of all of our handler course is our Criminal Interdiction Course for K9
        Officers, this class is classroom and hands on training that allows the officer to use and refine
        his roadside interview skills, the K9's ability and then how to systematically search and look for
        the tell, tell signs of contraband that is concealed from plain view!
        We offer a list of training courses for Police K9 Handlers and their agency, check it out on our
        website www.SectorK9.org.


        Our Police K9 Donation Program consists of the following for each approved agency:

        •       Dog


        •       Training of the dog prior to the handler arrival

        •       Training of the handler which includes handling skills and comprehensive classroom on
                the care and maintenance of the animal and training ideology developed by Sector K9


        •       Criminal Interdiction Course - hands on interviewing and searching techniques that
                includes relevant case law

        •       A full two (2) weeks or (4) weeks depending on discipline, of hands on training for the
                assigned K9 Handlers and their partner K9s which will provide them numerous
                repetitions and opportunities to learn their craft in a reality based training environment.

        •       Team certification through  American Working Dogs  Association for their respective
                discipline(s).
