vocation through active recruiting or sponsorship of new
members and participation in the many training programs offered
by TPA. Each and every member of TPA is a leader, your
leadership purpose is who you are, it is what makes you unique, it
shapes the essence of your identity and you are a reflection of the
legacy of Texas Police Association members who have carried that
title since 1895.
As a member of TPA, my personal and professional purpose have
been directly influenced by the networking and mentorship
opportunities created by my fellow TPA members. I humbly ask
each of you to embrace this vision and the leadership goals set by
our Executive Committee members as your representatives.
Imagine the impact that we will have on our vocation as a result
of living our purpose and collaboratively reflecting the model of
professional policing through intentional practices.
I want to thank our Executive Director and Assistant Executive
Director for their hard work and I look forward to working with
them very closely. I also want to welcome our new leadership as
Executive Committee members who I am honored to work with
collaboratively in goal setting and representing our members in
modeling a shared vision. Over the next few months, TPA will
announce new Executive Committee leadership opportunities as
well as training and new TPA initiatives. If you are a new
member, I would like to welcome you to a rewarding career
partnership and I hope to meet you soon. I would love to hear
from you, so please don’t hesitate to email me at
