Remembering the past, addressing the issues of today and planning for the future is key to our success. TPA’s DNA is
about making the police profession better. Character, ethical leadership, and educated officers have been the emphasis
and need in 1895. According to Jack Ryle, these qualities are important today as well. As we focus on the improvement
and professional growth of individual officers and agencies, we must not forget to bring the community we serve as
partners. Through effective policing and community involvement we can achieve a community that is ready for economic
viability.
