The Texas Police Association wishes to thank the city of Longview, the Longview Police Department,
Longview Transit, Longview Convention and Visitor's Bureau. Also; Past President Keith Fletcher
and R.V. Stephens; Regional Directors Jack Lanier, Scott Lewis, and Mike Bullock; Longview's Police
Chief Mike Bishop who were valuable to the success of this conference. Consequently, the
challenges of the conference details were met head-on by our brilliant Assistant Executive Director,
Mona Krieg and finalized by Executive Director Erwin Ballarta. The significance of bringing the
conference to Longview, Texas, should not go unnoticed. TPA conferences in North Eastern Texas
has only occurred twice, with both conferences held in Tyler. However, the 120th Conference of
Texas Police Association was the first one held in Longview, Texas.

Finally, it was an honor to have in participation, the Sheriffs’ Association of Texas – Past President
Maxey Cerliano and Texas Police Chief Association – Past President Todd Hunter. The uniqueness
of three State-wide Law Enforcement Association leaders from the same non-urban area was
noteworthy. Thank you for allowing me to serve Matthew 19:26 !
