RESOLUTION

June 26, 2019

Whereas, the Texas Police Association is concluding its 120th Annual Training
Conference in Longview, Texas; and

Whereas, this has been an extremely successful conference due to the outstanding
cooperation and hospitality extended by the City of Longview and the Longview
Police Department; and

Now, Therefore, Be it Resolved, that we, the members and attendees of the Texas
Police Association, in convention and assembled in Longview, Texas on this 26th day
of June, 2019, express our sincere appreciation for their efforts which helped make
this conference an enjoyable and outstanding success.

RESOLUTION

June 26, 2019

WHEREAS, during the past year we have learned of the death of: Lonnie V. Burton,
Plainview; Tommy C. Caperton, Irving; J. D. Chastain, Waco; John Cummings,
Wichita Falls; Thomas L. Curd, Schertz; Delvin D. Duvall, Providence Village; H.
Steve Higgins, Lake City, TN; Michael Gene Patrick, Lewisville; Ronnie Robertson,
Vernon; and Thomas H. Vannoy, Plano;

WHEREAS, we deeply regret the passing of these dedicated officers and loyal
members of our Association; and

WHEREAS, our Association and profession has suffered a great loss in the death of
these fine officers;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the members of the Texas Police
Association, in session, assembled at Longview, Texas on this the 26th day of June
2019, unanimously go on record as expressing our great sorrow in the loss of these
members of our Association and hereby extend to each of the families our sincerest
heartfelt sympathy.
