TPA is partnering with American Income Life Insurance Company again to provide
an additional $3,500 Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance to each
member. This benefit is at no cost to the Association nor to the member. The
Association currently provides Active Members $4,000 AD&D coverage, bringing
the total AD&D coverage to $7,500.
Letters will be mailed to each member explaining the program in greater detail
and the letter contains a yellow beneficiary card. If you have previously returned
a yellow card with beneficiary information, you do not need to resubmit your infor-
mation again. Please know, that once you return the yellow card, you will be
contacted by one of their representatives wanting to discuss any other your life
insurance needs you may want to buy in addition to this benefit.
TPA does not share your information with anyone so this contact will be the result
of your initial submission of your beneficiary information card to American Income
Life Insurance Company.
NATIONAL POLICE OFFICER MEMORIAL WEEK
May 15 21, 2016
In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 th
as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week.
Currently, tens of thousands of law enforcement officers from around the world con-
verge on Washington, DC to participate in a number of planned events which honor
those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
The Memorial Service began in 1982 as a gathering in Senate Park of approximately
120 survivors and supporters of law enforcement. Decades later, the event, more com-
monly known as National Police Week, has grown to a series of events which attracts
thousands of survivors and law enforcement officers to our Nations Capital each year.
National Police Officer Memorial Week is scheduled for
May 15 21, 2016. Please join us in honoring our fallen
brothers and sisters in law enforcement.
