Social Risk Criteria
Fatal landslide with 1 fatality or more

which would occur 1/1,000 per annum

is tolerable for a specific slope
while existing slopes
need to be in the ALARP. Possibility of
1v:1h - risk neutral
▪ High tolerance means 10,000 fatalities
not allowed at all
less budget for
mitigation actions and
vice versa.
