Overall Slope Management
▪ Other than the buffer zone, there are many other methods to
manage risks of landslides such as, slope strengthening,
installation of counter measures, foundation strengthening and
early warning system.
▪ The Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) has proven to be useful for
planning, design and risk management purposes. As such, it should
be considered as an integral part of the country’s slope
management system, or at least, as an option to the current
development planning and control.
