INTRODUCTION/PENGENALAN

• Geophysics – application of method of physics to the study of the Earth.

• Use as a tool – geophysics is just another tool

- tool to obtain an image of subsurface

• Based on physical contrast : density, resistivity, conductivity, magnetic susceptibility.

• Geophysical methods are capable of defining subsurface conditions and delineating underground anomalies,

which can be used as guidance for site specific drilling or excavation program.
