 The Marlowe Theatre
Named after Shakespeare’s contemporary Christopher Marlowe, the award winning Marlowe Theatre is one of the country’s leading venues, which sees performances from the Royal Shakespeare Company, The National Theatre, and the Philharmonia Orchestra. The Marlowe theatre is on the Friars, a small side street off the High Street.
The Theatre offers a range of different membership options for frequent visitors. If you’re a student, you can also enjoy a discount on shows with tickets at just £10 using a Discovery Ticket!
Curzon Canterbury
So, what’s there to do on a rainy day, or evening? The Curzon Canterbury is a boutique cinema that features independent films from across the globe, as well as events including live ballet, opera and theatre. The Curzon Canterbury has a bar and café and more than 200 seats and three different cinema screens with a range of ticket offers for all, The Curzon is in Westgate Hall road, a short walk from the town centre.
Sign up online or at the cinema for Curzon’s free student membership. For other great savings if you want to see a film and can go on Monday to Friday before 5pm you can get discounted tickets!
