What do you love about
Performing Arts at Seaford?
It’s the way older students’
mentor younger students, it really
develops you as a performer
and gives you confidence to
get better. I started performing
here in the productions in Year
5, starting with small roles. I was
then in the chorus and I learnt
a lot from the older performers.
They were really friendly and
helped me perform. When I then
got the big roles, I then mentored
the younger students, I enjoyed
seeing their experiences and
encouraging them to carry on
going, I really enjoyed doing that.
What were your favourite roles?
I played Mrs Potts in Beauty and
the Beast and then in Year 12 I
played Aunt Ella in Oklahoma!,
those were my two favourites
because they were quite fun roles.
And they were mother figures, I
like to play that type of role.
I love Seaford because...
The amazing people around me
and the amazing teachers who
always give me support. There’s a
great atmosphere with everyone
wanting everyone to do their best.
People are constantly trying to
improve and make people better
people both inside and outside
the classroom.

Do you do anything co-curricular
alongside your studies?
I didn’t have a lot of confidence
before coming to Seaford in Year
12, but I decided, when I got here,
that I would just try everything.
CCF has really surprised me, I like
having some form of structure
and developing my leadership
skills. I’m really not very confident
with leadership, so I wanted to
build up some form of skills in that
area. Carrying out CCF operations
has helped me with confidence.
Do you take a lead within CCF?
Yes, we’re teaching drill at the
moment and we teach lessons,
so it’s all those skills that I would
never have been able to get.
What else do you do?
I joined in September and
auditioned for the play. I was
shocked that I got the lead role
in Find Me. It was a fantastic
way to meet lots of people, and
everyone was really supportive.
The play had a tough theme, but I
found this developed me in ways
beyond my performance skills,
which I found fascinating.
“I have a passion for designing and building and want to develop
these skills in my future career. I also aspire to do the Industry
Placement Programme for F1 and my EPQ topic was related
closely to this. I have loved the opportunities that Seaford has given
me and have been able to use sport as a way of managing stress
whilst here. I discovered my love of hockey at Seaford and have
since gone on to play at county level.”

How do you like to relax in your
spare time?
It takes hours to create and post
social media content so I don’t
have a lot of spare time. I’m
lucky because my passion for
creating videos is my hobby and
also my business. My hobby has
become my vocation, I create
video content to relax in my spare
time and I think you have to be
a bit obsessed to learn the skills
needed to be a content creator.
I enjoy scuba diving and my
passion for it led to a commission
with PADI to create content
about Dubai Deep Dive. I found
my passion for playing music
at Seaford and I enjoy playing
my guitar and drums. I’ve loved
performing at Seafordstock,
Seaford’s annual rock, pop, funk
and soul concert.

What clubs and activities
do you do?
I do CCF, climbing, Green Power
Club and Land Rover Club. I love
the outdoor education aspect
of school and took part in the
Welsh 3000s, it was an absolutely
amazing experience and it was a
real challenge. I’m also doing my
Gold DofE and I had a great time
on the expedition, we kayaked in
Sussex. Any possible activity you
can think of, you’re going to find it
here and I have to remind myself
not to take on too much so I get
the balance right.
