        After buying several items during the summer remodel, we still have a large chunk of money. In the past, the Moms’ Club has purchased things like sofas and
        tvs, but House Corps took the hit on all of this. Nice, eh? So, we’re in the process of looking into durable, commercial patio furniture for the new back area.
        The kids have been asking for furniture, but standard tables and chairs will disappear. We’re trying to figure out exactly how much this will cost, and hopefully,
        we’ll have some left to contribute to House Corps’ large furniture bill. Truly, a lot has been accomplished since we were all together last spring…our boys are a
        large reason why this is happening. They’ve been instrumental in all of this, and when they set high expectations for themselves, good things typically follow.


                                      Some of the highlights from the summer remodeling:


       -fully repaired the pipe issue from last year         -replaced lighting in main areas and hallways

       -installed a large patio with pavers on the back of the house      -replaced tables, chairs, and printer in both study rooms

       -restored hardwood flooring on the first floor         -improved computer hardware and connectivity

       -restored woodwork on the first floor             -purchased new dining room tables and chairs

       -repainted entire first floor                     -restored entryway fireplace

       -replaced ceiling in dining hall                  -cleaned carpet in library

       -replaced broken library chairs with temporary ones        -replaced carpet in tv room and blue room

       -purchased leather square ottomans for blue room        -purchased six sofas and four club chairs for blue room

       -cleaned up corner area of dining room and purchased commercial fridge for undergrads   Photo creds to Lukas Kerstein.

       -repaired and/or replaced plumbing, fixtures/urinals, stalls, and lights in second and third floor bathrooms

       -removed all items from the library and created “Active” and “Alumni” areas for display

       -increased cleaning services and hired a commercial vendor to regularly change entry rugs

       -created a plan to remodel the first floor powder room over Christmas Break
