ALUMNI PRESIDENT UPDATE
Dear Brothers,
An old Greek proverb states:
“A society grows great when old
men plant trees in whose shade
they know they shall never sit.”
Through the Century
Campaign, we have proven this
proverb to be true. Our new
chapter house has been built on the backs of men who will
never live there, and because of this, the society we call
Delta Sigma Phi continues to grow great.
With a renewed foundation, Delta Sigma Phi is poised
to build upon its rich history and enable young men from
diverse backgrounds to succeed at Georgia Tech and
beyond. Delta Sigma Phi will become what those who
share our brotherhood make of it. In the risky game of
Greek life, there is no better investment.
On Friday, October 12, 2018, over 350 Delta Sigs
spanning 64 years, alongside their guests, gathered to
dedicate our new chapter house and celebrate our endur-
ing brotherhood. By our collective presence, we demon-
strated that our brotherhood transcends fraternity houses,
generational divides, technological advances, and shifting
cultural norms. Some things, though, never change: we
gathered again the next day to celebrate yet another Fixed
Body win in the Homecoming parade!
For a time, Delta Sigma Phi was perhaps the most
important thing in our lives. Then we got out (or not),
and moved on. But the bond of brotherhood never left us.
We may have forgotten calculus, but we will never forget
what it means to be proud to be a Delta Sig. Century Campaign Sprints Thru the Finish!
