This July, a spindly-legged Grevy’s zebra foal was
born at the Zoo to mother, Nyota, and father, Robin
Diesel. Within its first hour of life, a zebra foal Grevy's Zebra
can stand, walk, and run up to 40 miles per hour!
Robin was named after Robin Wilson, lead vocalist Born July 27, 2024
for the Gin Blossoms, as the foal was born during
the group's Roaring Nights performance at the Zoo.
Robin's healthy birth represents an achievement in
the conservation of the endangered species.
