        Native habitat: Columbia and Venezuela; dense, subtropical
        cloud forests in mountainous regions
        Facts: With its large body, blue-black feathers, and red bill, the helmeted
        curassow is a striking-looking bird. It gets its name from the blue-grey casque,   Bird
        or “helmet,” on its forehead. Helmeted curassows roost and nest in trees.
        Otherwise, they are usually found on the forest floor where they forage    with the
        for fallen fruit, seeds, insects, small animals, and vegetation. They are
