En nuestras primeras reuniones nos dimos cuenta de que para crear un proyecto artístico había que sortear la brecha entre nuestros lenguajes, muchas veces las conversaciones no llevaban a ninguna parte. La diferencia horaria de 18 horas debilitó el puente entre nosotros, ya que la mañana para alys es
el tiempo en que Max es necesitado por
su familia para pre-pararse para la noche. Encontrar el momento para una presencia compartida entre el Pacífico Sur y América
del Sur, durante el confinamiento mutuo por el COVID, requirió un grado de compromiso que no habíamos tenido en cuenta.

March 20, 2020 Auckland and Santiago Beginning meetings on Zoom
In our first meetings we realised that to
create an artistic project would have to
evade the cuts between our languages, often conversations led to nowhere. The 18 hour time difference weakened the bridge between us, as the morning for alys is the time that Max is needed by his family to prepare for
the evening. Finding the time for shared presence between the South Pacific and South America, during mutual COVID lock- down, required a degree of commitment we hadn’t accounted for.
