CONCEPT TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT

My main concept is creating a unique song through people’s own “body”. I

INTERACTIVE DEVICE realized Max 8 has a high interactivity and complete functionality on music,
so I decided to use this advantage from Max. I let Arduino connect with

- Max 8 and use three sensors to collect different data from people. +
These sensors are heartbeat detection, temperature, and breathing

COMPOSER pressure. Next, these data are the elements for a beautiful melody. I use
this data to create a song that belongs to everyone’s own, and everyone

has different “numbers” inside his/her “body”. Even people who don't Arduino Max 8

familiar with music, they can create their own song by using random

input. Besides, when Max receiving this data, there will be some animations
on the screen, respectively, to visualize the process. After that, a unique

song will be generated, and there will be a graphic image on the projection CONTROL COMPONENT

screen, which is affected by produced melody. I utilize Max’s advantages of

sound, graphics, and variability.

This is an interactive installation that uses people’s heartbeat,

body temperature, and breathing pressure to create a wonderful

melody. Different sensors will change different elements of this
melody. People who don't familiar with music still can create their
