Cathy Freeman
ATHLETIC – INDEPENDENT - TEACHER
Cathy Freeman was born on the 16 of February 1973 in
Mackay Queensland Australia. Cathy Freeman is well known
for winning the women's 400meter race in the 2000 Sydney
Olympics.
Cathy Freeman went to primary school in MacKay and when
she graduated from primary school, she attended high school
in Coppabella.
In 1991 Cathy moved to Melbourne with her coach and her
boyfriend Nick Bidaur. After 1 year of solid training, Cathy
went to the BarcelonaOlympic games.
Cathy got married to a man named Alexander Bodecker in
1992 on the beach at Half Moon Bay.
On the 15 of September 2000 Cathy freeman lit the Olympic
torch and after, won the women's 400meter race.
Cathy freeman is most famous for winning the women's
400meter race in the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
