If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
God will not bless us until we meet the conditions for His blessings. He only “hears” from Heaven when certain criteria are met.
If we turn from our sin, God will heal our land.
“Open heavens” result in a fertile land and also allows secular issues such as: business, jobs, families, land, and schools to thrive with blessings and prosperity.
Let’s look at some examples of the Heavens being opened.
The Bible gives us many examples of the heavens being opened for individuals.
We see open Heavens at Jesus’s baptism
And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heav- ens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
Matthew 3:16
Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist in river Jordan. As a multitude of people looked on, they saw, the Holy Spirit descend like a dove. We also need the anointing of the Holy Spirit so we will be empowered to do the works of Christ.
God spoke from Heaven over Jesus as He was being baptized.
