Open Heavens also bring us direct messages from God. With all the decisions we need to make in life, we all need to hear from God.
As we look at these events that happened during Jesus’ baptism, we receive more insight into what can happen in our lives when the heavens are open to us.
We also, notice that though there were other people there, it was only unto Jesus that the heavens opened.
Is it possible to have an open heaven over a church, while a certain individual in that church continues to experience closed heavens?
I have learned over the years that there are times when one or more individuals in a church congregation may experience open heavens, while the church as a whole does not.
Ezekiel experienced Open Heavens.
Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
Ezekiel 1:1
Ezekiel was really lost in the glory of God. He saw wind, clouds, lightning, and fire, which are all symbolic of the power and glory of God.
The word of the Lord also came unto him as the hand of the Lord was upon him. It is worth noting that after this vision in chapter one of Ezekiel, God called him in chapter two.
Most calls that are of God, most visions that are of God, and most breakthroughs that are of God are received
