“Oh Enoch, the sound of His footsteps, as He walked through the garden. He sounded like the Lion out of the tribe of Judah!”
“Grandson,” Adam continued, “the closer He came, the stronger we felt His Shekinah glory. The hair on our arms and the back of our neck just stood up. “‘Oh, look at the light!’ Your grandma Eve use to say. ‘It’s so bright! For He’s the bright and morning star!’
“And, then we bowed to the ground and cried, Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God almighty. Oh, my Father, the giver of life, our friend. All day long we have lived for this mo- ment, to be in your presence, to hear your voice.”
“Oh, Enoch, it was indescribable, the joy we felt at being in His presence. Sometimes it seemed like we were just going to explode.”
What about it, reader, have you ever been in our Lord’s presence, filled with His glory, saturated with His power, overflowing with joy in His presence? There is nothing that comes close to it, is there?
Then, with tears in his eyes, he peered down at little Enoch and cried, “He actually talked to us, like Eve and I were His friends. Can you believe it?”
“I do grandpa,” replied Little Enoch matter of factually.
“Day after day, the Lord came to be with us. Oh, to go back! I’ll never forget it,” Adam declares, as tears flowed from his eyes.
“Oh, but we sinned, Enoch, we sinned! God have mer- cy on us, we sinned! How could we have done it to our best friend, our Lord? I can’t believe we did it, but we did.”
Adam groans as he hugs little Enoch close to him, “Oh my God, we sinned, we disobeyed you. I’m so sorry Lord!” Adam just sobbed and sobbed.
“You had every right to kick us out of Your garden. You
