Digital Multi-Retard MSD8975
The Digital Multi-Retard provides
four different ignition retard
stages - without chips! Adjust-
able via rotary switches, retard
functions may be activated
together or separately. Particu-
larly useful for initiating timing retard during staged nitrous activation, high-speed retard, or start retard functions. Must be used with an MSD ignition control.
Three-Stage Retard Control
MSD8970
The Three-Stage Retard Control
retards ignition timing in three
different stages. It’s particularly
suited to multi-stage nitrous oxide systems. Connect the Three-Stage Retard to a nitrous system and every time a nitrous stage is activated, a different retard stage will take over. Program (with plug-in modules) the amount of timing retard needed to match the amount of nitrous used in each stage. Supplied with 2°, 3°, and 4° modules. Compatible with an MSD ignition control only.
Start and Step Retard Control MSD8987
Ideal for cars with locked-out ignition tim-
ing, control unit allows retarding timing 5°,
10°, 15°, or 20° during cranking for easier
starting. Digitally controlled unit also
includes a single stage of retard, which
may be used during nitrous activation or simply as a high- speed retard. Connects to magnetic pickups or points and is compatible with 4-, 6-, or 8- cylinder engines.
Retard Module Selector MSD8676
Allows selecting between 12 retard amounts (0°-11°) with the turn of a dial. Ideal for use with nitrous activation or with a high-speed retard.

and will not come apart accidentally.
Connectors can withstand temperatures
from -40 to +257°F and are indexed to
prevent misfiring. May be separated by
hand or with a screwdriver when space
is tight. Each terminal has its own tower, eliminating shorts between the wires. Each connector half has a secondary lock that snaps over the terminal.

Specifically for V8's with MSD distributor, crank trigger, or other locked-out ignition systems, compact controller retards timing by 10° or 20° during engine cranking for easier starting.
Two-Pin Connector MSD8824
Simplifies replacement of damaged pins, connectors, shortening cables, or doing custom wiring. Metal pins have locking feature to prevent vibrating loose, and con- nectors have lock tabs for tight, vibration- proof connections. Includes two connec- tors and four pins.
