LIFE IN THE FUTURE
Ring, ring the alarm clock goes off. I looked at the clock and realized that I did not
want to get up. I reached for my three-fifty-seven magnum handgun and blew it
into the next century. I called my
butler, Jeeves, to come and clean up the mess. It is okay because I am a rich
lawyer. I am fifty years old, and I own a four-story mansion with nine bathrooms
and fifteen bedrooms on fifty acres of land. I have a TV viewing room with a 58 x
64 screen. I often have friends come over and watch sport events and movies
with me. I also have several video games that we play. I also have a large
swimming pool with a diving board at one end. At the other end of the pool is a
nice curvy slide painted black and blue with water running down it. This helps us
to go down fast.
In the year of 2035, I became the mayor of the city of Rockford, Illinois. I have
been the mayor for fifteen years. I have gotten to go to many places and gone
overseas many times in the last fifteen years as the mayor. I spend my day by
driving into town and going to my office. My day is filled with a lot of paperwork,
meetings, phone calls and appointments. One wall in my office is a big fish tank
with all different kinds of fish in it, such as starfish, shark, and goldfish. My office
hours usually are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 pm. My hours are usually spent doing
varioussport activities and, naturally, spending a lot of time attending football
games, including the Denver Broncos. I am a single male which allows me time to
spend on myself.
