Flora Salonik grew up in Arusha, which is one

of Tanzania's busiest cities. She went to

university and learnt to speak four

languages. However, Flora's life changed

dramatically after she got married. Her

husband brought her home to the small

village of Kijungu, very far away from

Arusha. Besides looking after their three

children, Flora also took care of the family's

farm as her husband was away most of the

time. It was difficult for her to stop thinking

about her past and she wondered how her life

would be if she lived in the city. Flora had to

make a decision about her family's future. She

decided to go back to Arusha to figure things

out. Flora was very happy to see her mother

and stayed with her for a while. She also

visited all the places she used to know.

Finally, Flora made her decision; she belonged
