fill in the blanks with worst case scenarios, which would leave us feeling overwhelmed, helpless, or
vulnerable.
As the COVID-19 pandemic and its far-reaching implications continue to
unfold globally, it is normal for all of us to experience a wide range of
thoughts, feelings and reactions. Personally, I have learnt to be resilient
and be grateful for what we have, as our generation cannot be threatened
for survival whether in terms of natural surroundings or relationships. I am
very hopeful and optimistic that this situation too will pass and focusing on
our mental wellbeing in times like this can help to reduce stress, and is also
crucial in enabling us to stay calm and take effective action in the midst of
this global crisis. We should make the best of what we have right now with
the time in our hands. Spending time with supportive family and friends can
bring a sense of comfort and stability. We can also reinvent ourselves, join
an online course, read that book we always wanted to or learn a new skill;
just do anything that makes us happier and feel positive and healthy.

Uncertainty In Times Of Crisis
Uncertainty caused by fear,
That the end is nowhere near.
Uncertainty of seeing my friends again,
For now, they exist as lifeless images in my brain.
Uncertainty of businesses ever taking flight,
With a gloomy recession in sight.
Uncertainty of what tomorrow will bring,
Waking up every morning to my notification ring.
Uncertainty of it being any one of us,
Caught by the suffocating grip of the virus,
Which jumps from person to person,
Molecule to molecule,
Cell to cell.
The road to recovery will be bumpy,
But with everyone’s hope and cooperation it will be easy.
Certainly!
