am optimistic and energized to start 2021 as the new president of the Encino
Chamber of Commerce. I am honored to be the current leader of this premier
Ichamber in the San Fernando Valley. The Board of Directors includes many new
directors from this community who bring great experience, leadership and enthusiasm
to our already committed board members.
We are currently updating and creating a vibrant strategic plan for our chamber to
thrive in the post Covid environment and well into future growth. Our existing Encino
Chamber committees have survived our zoom meetings; and appear to be growing
with the prospect of in person meeting and collaborating.
The Teacher of the Year Awards, one of our signature events, was not able to be held
in the past 2020 Covid year; however, looking ahead, I am very excited about
supporting and honoring all of the educators (which includes many parents) that
have helped our children continue an education under the most challenging
conditions. Our Education committee is committed to create the conditions for a
thriving educational community. Please visit the committee meetings and join your
        interest and efforts with ours.
Health & Wellness has never meant so much to us all as we have faced this last
pandemic year. Our Health & Wellness committee is comprised of many community
non-profits that have worked effectively and tirelessly this past year providing sustenance
for those most in need. The community’s hospitals, health care providers, and health
related businesses all contribute programs and resources through this committee.

The Encino Chamber provides, through our Disaster Preparedness Committee, training
and practice in disaster preparedness, first aid and CERT training, active shooter
situations, and close coordination with other groups including first responders. It
is our goal to continue to be a leader in preparing this community for any potential
        disaster, however large or small.
I look forward to meeting all of you and listening to your ideas and thoughts about
how the Chamber can enhance your business today and as this year progresses.

Stay well and let’s all look optimistically ahead to a healthy and prosperous 2021 for
        our families and businesses.
