Overview
The purpose of this course is to provide guidance with regard to
the most common risk management issues associated with the
practice of surgery.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
1. Recognize the most common risk management issues
associated with the practice of surgery.
2. List risks of poor communication, documentation,
medication errors, and other factors that make a claim or
lawsuit indefensible.
3. Identify risk management strategies to improve delivery of
care in the surgical specialty.
