Joint Visit by IG NEZ & IG Jorhat: A pivotal moment where 3
additional barracks were allotted for troops and offices.

27 June 2024 Temporary shed was created for placement of DG
sets to resolve the power outage issues in the main
office. The GCO ordered to dismantle above set
through Virendra Rajput AC building. Above act was
very unfortunate and very disheartening. So the
matter has been taken to ADG OPS DTE to resolve
current impasse.
Rising from Challenges

The relentless efforts of Commandant 7 Signal Bn and his team
transformed hurdles into milestones. Temporary structures were
repurposed, and collaborations with engineering wings accelerated
progress.

On hearing of this matter, ADG OPS DTE has
July 2024 formed high level commit consisting IG ZONE NE
ZIG OPS JORHAT DIG SIGNAL RANGE. After
the discoursing the issue at length. Above commit
found insufficient infrastructure have been provided
by GC which required to re-evaluate. Later above
commit vide minutes of meeting on infrastructure
for 7 signal Bn allotted three barracks 180 men

barrack(namdapha), and two 120 men barracks
(majule and kaziranga).
