In 1945,The United Nations Radio aired for

the first time. Since then Radio Day is

celebrated every year on 13 February.
The existence of radio waves and the

feasibility of radio transmission was

predicted by James Clark Maxwell in
1360s.

Gugielma-Marconi made the first

successful trans Atlantic transmissions of

radio waves in 1901 and 1902. Radio plays

an important role in exchange of

information and Educating people. It has

the ability to reach the most remote

communities and people irrespective of
their socio-economic conditions.
