How do I Approve a ChartField Request in the General Ledger WorkCenter?
Overview
The GL WorkCenter is a Compass feature that provides a comprehensive solution for General Ledger
transactions, including GL transactions that are in workflow. This job aid will show you how to use the GL
WorkCenter to approve and deny different types of ChartField requests. Emory currently uses ChartField
requests for Departments, Programs, Events and Projects.
Navigation
Navigation > General Ledger > GL WorkCenter > ChartFields Pending Approval
Approving a ChartField Request
Once the requester submits a request for a new ChartField, you will receive an email stating
“Approval is Requested for Field Request ID”
Do not click the link in the email to approve a new ChartField. Instead, we will use WorkCenter.
The steps to approve via WorkCenter are below.
