 ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
  Dearest Friends,
It has been an honor and a privilege to lead Attorneys Serving the Community. When I joined ASC fteen years ago, I had no idea the impact it would leave on my life and my career. I have made life-long friends with incredible, powerful women. Every day I am inspired to do more and be more by the friends I have made in ASC.
Thank you to my Co-Chair, Devon Sharp. I would not have survived this year without you. From our late-night calls to the constant texts. Your friendship means the world to me, and I’m so grateful that you agreed to be my Co-Chair. To her husband, Scott....I’m sorry! But I promise to help Devon next year!
Thank you to my husband, Thomas Ayers, and to my children, Caroline and Neal. Their patience, understanding, and support made all of this possible.
Thank you to Crossroads Community Services. The work you do is life changing. Working with you has been a joy. And thank you to Benaye Wadkins Chambers, Cynthia Thompson, Taylor Hall, and Sarah Klein – when we rst met last summer, I told you that ASC is “a lot.” You embraced the challenge. I am so grateful I had this opportunity to learn from you.
Thank you to my rm, Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP. Leading ASC is...time consuming. Your commitment to the betterment of our community, and your investment in me, ASC, and Crossroads is appreciated. I am proud to call SMRH my home.
Finally, thank you to the women of Attorneys Serving the Community. Thank you to our members, committee chairs, and committee members. Behind every Lead Chair is a sea of women—constantly working to better our profession and help our community. You are the true unsung heroes of ASC. I have loved working with you, and I am so grateful to call you my friends.
With love,
Jennifer Klein Ayers 2023-2024 ASC Lead Chair
