                                                               6. Sidi Sjeig

                                                               Sidi Sjeig (old gentleman) is always
                                                               referred to as Champion (Kamp Sidi Sjeiq).



                                                               Sidi Sjeig was indeed the first Sloughi show
                                                               champion. I found in the Studbook of the
                                                               Dutch Kennel Club that he became
                                                               champion in the period before 1903, when
                                                               he was rather young.

                                                               He took his Sloughis to the same photo

                                                               studio and had their picture taken (note the
                                                               same background).


                                                               Sidi Sjeig was the father of a litter with
                                                               Fatima bred by La Fontijn (see picture with

                                                               Fatima and pups). He died May 31, 1905.
