Already during the first year of life, it was
clear that Ghanem possesses a tremendous
prey drive and above all has one thing: the
unconditional will to succeed. Fast feet are
one thing a successful racing dog must
have. But at least as important is the head!
The mental strength, the ability to
concentrate and the focus on the object of
the hunt, only these things enable a sports
dog to be a winner! Ghanem hides all the
surrounding trivialities, runs with passion
and so extremely focused and unimpressed
by all fellow runners as few other Sloughis
can. This talent was passed on by his
ancestors!
If Ghanem feels particularly comfortable
before races or coursing, he starts, even
though he is on a leash, to roll in the grass.
This is a short break for the leash holder,
otherwise this power package will be out
of bounds before the start and will demand
of his owner the last reserves in physical
strength.

Ghanem captivates with his light color and
his dark painted eyes. His well-developed
muscles make his outside appearance look
very athletic. And speaking of his
appearance, Ghanem was shown only
twice because Isabell does not enjoy
showing much. But this he did with flying
colors: once in the Puppy Class, with the
result of Best Puppy In Show and once in
the Intermediate Class at an International
Show with CAC, CACIB, Best Male and Best
Of Breed (out of 6 Sloughis).
But back to his true strength: Ghanem
started with a victory at his very first race
in the Spring of 2015 (CACIL, 6 Sloughis at
the start). He also won his first Lure
Coursing event, the Regional Coursing
Winner in Trautskirchen that same year.
In 2016, he won the two highest titles in
Lure Coursing that we have: The European
Coursing Championship in Slovakia and the
German Coursing Championship in
Germany. As a result, he was ranked
number one in the Sloughi Coursing Top
List that year.
