           Twenty-eight years have now gone by since
           the first Nubia Memorial Cup was presented
           in 1995 in Canada by Jack McGuffin, who
           flew from California to meet the first winner

           at a show in Toronto (Credit Valley Kennel
           Club).


           During 23 years until the last winner in 2018,
           Sloughis were active in all 3 sports, oval
           racing, straight racing and lure coursing,

           traveling to events across the country from
           as far as the West to the East coasts, paving
           the way for full recognition in all American
           sighthound sports, and the Nubia Cup was
           awarded every year.


           The plaques are full of names and the trophy

           is now retired.
