The dogs that bite the necks of their fast prey are encountered again later by the ancient
Egyptians. But whether these dogs are fast enough to catch gazelles or other fast animals
in the open range is uncertain up to this point.
But would it be necessary to have fast dogs? As we have seen above with par force
hunting, even enduring hounds like Foxhounds or Beagles can bring about hunting
success. Or aids are used, as nets are in hunting.
