say……he made me a grandmom” and when Joshua turned 21 she was so excited and full of pride that
day…..they took so many pictures together….. she and Joshua will talk on the phone and in person for hours.
They had a beau ful bond. But all her grandchildren were her life. I remember the first- me mom sent Isabell's
first Christmas dress, we were sta oned in Italy at that me and every year a er un l Isabell was about 9 years
old and decided she didn't like princess dresses anymore. And whenever Isabell will create a new hair style by
herself, she will praise her even when I didn't like it. Mom will buy ckets to fly them to her for summer holidays.
Even though my family had only 2 years of consistent contact with mom, she was always my husband and
children’s cheerleader. I pray and hope my children will always remember her that way.

Mom was a perfectionist. Growing up here in Ghana, I was mainly in charge of cooking and cleaning
and growing up with a mom who is perfectionist…. well…. you can all imagine how that looks like….
which I hated but I believe that's the reason why I am the best cook in the family…..sorry sibs…. But I
learned at a younger age of 14-15 without realizing, how big a role on how she raised me will help in the
formation of my own style of keeping my house in order and parenting.

I will be forever grateful for your love and support towards my family. When we struggled in the beginning as a
young couple. I wish we had more time to build more memories, because these past two years were not
enough. Love you Mom and thank you for sharing your noble characteristics. I hope to pass it on to my
children as they continue to pass it on for generations to come.
