                                                                                    Pleasant are Thy courts above In the land of light and love;
                                                                                    Pleasant are Thy courts below In this land of sin and woe;
                                                                                    Oh, my SPIRIT longs and faints For the converse of Thy saints,
                                                                                    For the converse of Thy face, For Thy fullness, GOD of grace.

             Oh, what the joy and the glory must be,                                Happier souls that nd a rest In a heavenly FATHER's breast; Like
             Those endless Sabbaths the blessed ones see;                           the wandering dove that found No repose on earth around, They
             Crown for the valiant, to weary once rest;                             can to their ark repair, And enjoy it ever there.
             GOD shall be All and in all ever Blest.                                Happy souls, their praises ow  Even in this vale of woe; Waters in
                                                                                    the desert rise, Manna feeds them from the skies; On they go from
             What are the Monarch, His Court, and His Throne?                       strength to strength, Till they reach Thy Throne at length, At Thy
             What are the peace and the joy that they own?                          feet adoring fall, Who hast led them safe through all.
             O that the blest ones, who in it have share,
             All that they feel could as fully declare!                             LORD, be mine this prize to win, Guide me through a world of sin,
                                                                                    Keep me by Thy saving grace, Give me at Thy side a place; Sun
             Truly Jerusalem name we that shore,                                    and Shield alike Thou art, Guide and guard my erring heart;
             Vision of peace, that brings joy evermore;                             Grace and glory ow from Thee;
             Wish and fullment can server'd be ne'er                               Shower, O shower them, LORD on me.
             Nor the thing pray'd for come short of the prayer.

             There, where no troubles distraction can bring,                        LOVING Shepherd of Thy sheep, Keep Thy lamb, in safety keep;
             We the sweet anthems of Sion shall sing,                               Nothing can Thy power withstand None can pluck me from Thy
             While for Thy grace, LORD, their voices of praise                      Hand.
             Thy blessed people eternally raise.
                                                                                    Loving Saviour, Thou didst give Thine own life that we might
             There dawns no Sabbath, no Sabbath is o'er,                            live, And the Hands outstretch'd to bless Bear the cruel nails'
             Those Sabbath-keepers have one evermore;                               impress.
             One and unending is that triumph Song
             Which to the Angels and us shall belong                                I would praise Thee every day, Gladly all
                                                                                    Thy will obey, Like Thy blessed ones above
             Now in the meanwhile, with hearts raised on high,                       Happy in Thy precious love.
             We for that country must yearn and must sigh;
             Seeking Jerusalem, dear native land,                                   Loving shepherd, ever near, Teach Thy
             Through our long exile on Babylon's strand.                            lamb Thy voice to hear, Suffer not my steps
                                                                                     to stray From the straight and narrow way.
             ow before Him with our praises we fall,
             Of Whom, and in Whom, and through Whom are all;                        Where Thou leadest I would
             Of Whom, the FATHER: and in Whom, the SON;                             o, walking in Thy step below,
             Through Whom, the SPIRIT, with them ever ONE.                           Till before my FATHER's Throne
