                                 Established by the Greek philosopher,

Socrates, the Socratic Method is a dialog
                                                      between

teachers and students, motivated by the
continuous questioning of teachers, in a

                                      deliberate effort to explore the
                                 underlying beliefs that form students'

                                    views and opinions. The principle
underlying the Socratic method is that

students learn through the use of logical
                                   thought, reasoning and logic. This

strategy entails discovering flaws in their
own ideas, and patching them together.

This rapid-fire exchange takes place in
front of the entire class, so that students

can practice reasoning and make points
on their feet. It also makes them learn the

art of communicating to large audiences.

Justice was the root of all the laws. If a law
is not justified by justice, it is useless. If

anything is not approved by justice it
cannot be legal. To be precise, Socrates

gave priority to justice in his thought
system and in this respect Socrates
                                         followed his predecessors.
