F!enty of success stcries at another excellent CV Show

After another successful CV Show last vreek, ltook time to
reflect on the pace of change in the automotive industry, and

howthe annual exhibition for our particular sector - the biggest
automotive e>rpo in the UK - \ /as a clear demonstrator of that.

Sometimes at the CV Show there is one particular area of our
industry that stands out. Whether that's vans, pick-ups or HGVs tends to vary year-on-
year, but for 2017 vrle had the lot.

Newtrucksfrom DAF and Dennis Eagle, wlrich unveiled an Urban SafetyVehicle under
new Terberg ovrmership, a host of LCV launches that included UK premieres for MAN and
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, and new pick-ups in the form of the lsuzu D-Max and
soon-to-be-launched Renault Alaskan.

one of the big news stories of the show, was the announcement by UK body
manufacturer Tiger Trailers that it urias investing f22 million into a brand new
manufacturing facility in Cheshire, creating 270 jobs in the CV Sector. This is great news
for the CV industry and for the wider economy.
