of changes over the years, some good, some
not so. The breed now is much sounder, more
family friendly but we are in danger of losing the
Weimar unique features such as their aristocratic
attitude, aloof expression, the ground covering
movement and the grey ghost colour.
I feel strongly that it is important to keep the
Weimaraner as a real dual purpose dog being
able to show and work. In too many breeds
the show and working sides are as different as
chalk and cheese. So far that has not happened
in weimars but we need to be aware of it and
remember what the breed was designed to do. breed record holder Sh Ch Ansona Purdey.

Sh Ch Kisdons Fagan of Sireva, He won
the group at Bournemouth in an era when
weimars didn’t do such things. He was
an influential sire with quite a few show
champions and CC winners in his progeny.
Sh Ch Sireva Squash of Coastedge,
owned by Russell Clarke he was a stunning
young dog who won 2 groupds and several
but died tragically when he was only a
youngster and in his prime. I often wonder
what he would have achieved and produced.
