The 1990s
In 1993, the Club celebrated its 40th
Anniversary, an event that many members will
remember. By this time, registrations had risen
to more than 1600 a year and club membership
to approximately 1500. On the show side, the
Weimaraner had an allocation of 32 sets of
Challenge Certificates. Looking back through
past newsletters, it is clear that many members
were actively involved with the Club and
attendance at the various events was high. For
example, club open shows attracted entries
in excess of 140 dogs. In 1994, the Scottish
branch became independent and renamed itself
as the Weimaraner Club of Scotland.
