HOW PRINT® 3 CAN BE IN MY BEST SELF MORE OFTEN
§ Allow for greater depth of discussion and not be so heavily focused on efficiency and practicality. Only move things along if a discussion is not productive.
§ Try to give people more of my attention. Work on not appearing distracted or emotionally tuned out when I am in high concentration mode. Even though it may be a huge interruption, make sufficient time to meet with those who may need me.
§ Keep working towards the agreed upon goal, even if it is not my goal priority.
§ Develop tolerance of others who may not possess my energy or determination or be as efficient or as competent as me.
§ Try to be more patient with people who don’t make decisions as quickly as me or who are less comfortable taking risks. Understand that they may need to express their concerns before they get going. They may even help me see problems I didn’t think of.

§ Try to be decisive and not over analyze things. Make a decision and then move quickly to action.
§ Avoid interrupting them when they are busy.
§ Don’t embarrass them in front of others. Don’t cut them off,
belittle their ideas, act confrontational, or undermine them
publicly.
§ Allow them to respond to ideas quickly. And if it is a good
contribution, don’t miss an opportunity to praise them— generously—the more public the better. Don’t let their accomplishments or contributions go unacknowledged as a general rule.
