the answer to something, they will likely assume it needs to be researched. If you are just seeking their professional “off the cuff” opinion, you must be explicit about that, but the response may still be more in depth and may take longer than anticipated.
§ Avoid superficial discourse. Ask for their input or observations. Stay away from expressing emotion in your message. Rely on logic and reasoning to make a case. You can’t overdo the facts and figures and reasons. Get agreement on deadlines, don’t assume.
THE DETAILS ABOUT PRINT® 5
The PRINT® Five’s Unconscious Motivator is to be knowledgeable and smart. Fives don’t like to feel invaded or to come across as intelligently inadequate. In Best Self, they possess a guru quality about them and are sources of kindness and compassion for other people. In Shadow, Fives can be compulsive, exaggerated version of Best Self.

In Best Self, Fives are mind-centered individuals, seekers of truth and understanding, who are like sponges who love to soak up information. They can be analytical, highly skeptical. They need to prove and test things out. In Shadow, they are over-questioning and over-process. To others, it can be very tedious, but to Fives, this over-processing is a very necessary thing when in Shadow.
In Best Self, they are committed to knowledge, intellect and wisdom. They are pretty uncomfortable with small talk or extended conversations. They like to talk about subjects they know about, but social banter may not be a comfortable place for them. Don’t misinterpret a Five as not being warm; they’re just not comfortable with small talk. In Best Self, Fives are very perceptive and insightful. They have an astute observation and understanding of things. When the observation process moves into the extreme, Fives can become compulsive about knowledge, intellectually arrogant, and impatient. In fact, their minds become so dominant, they lose touch with feelings. In Shadow, Fives basically see only things their way and other ideas might seem trivial. In addition, gut feelings presented by others may not be treated as a reliable source.
In Best Self, Fives have excellent thinking skills and logical interpretations. They are kings and queens of the flow diagram. They are highly innovative. They take abstract ideas and make sense of them. They engage in out of the box thinking.
In Shadow, when they must be knowledgeable and smart, they can delay action, continue to get more facts, and find it hard to make on- the-spot decisions. They need all the questions answered and only
