In Dublin there are four City Councils (Dublin City, Dún Laoghaire, Fingal and South Dublin). When choosing areas, make sure to choose at least one in the Dublin council you are applying for. You can also choose areas in the other Dublin councils as well. For example, if applying to DCC, you can choose Area E, as well as Clondalkin and Swords.

1. If you have refugee status you do not need to provide evidence here.
2. If you have subsidiary protection or permission to remain you need to give evidence that you do not own other property here or in your country of origin.
A legal document – affidavit – saying you do not own property in your country of origin will do. The Irish Refugee Council can assist you with preparing this.
