• This payment can help you buy necessary household items like bed clothes, kitchen utensils, soft furnishings etc.
• It cannot be used for furniture.
• If on regular HAP, you can apply for help with deposit.
• It is discretionary, so no guarantee that you will get it.
For this application, you need the following:
• Personal Public Service (PPS) numbers for yourself, your partner and your children
• Proof of address
• Minister Letter
• Proof of identity, for example a Public Services Card (if you have
one), a passport, driving licence, work permit, IRP card
• Documents to show your income and financial situation, such as
pay slips and bank statements.
• If for deposit, they usually ask for proof of new rental agreement
(e.g lease).
