       ABBY MATTHEWS
Abby exemplifies all that is right about being a student-athlete, and a multi-sport athlete. A dedicated field hockey player in the fall and beyond, she has also committed herself to the hard discipline of the mid-distance events in track, putting up impressive times and serving on many relay teams in each of her four seasons.
ASSEM MENDYGAZIYEVA
It’s been a pleasure to watch Assem grow from a young beginner who was unsure of her talent into a fierce and confident competitor. Assem
is a discus thrower who finished second at last year’s NCISAA Cham- pionship. She was also willing to try the long jump and the high jump, al- though the discus circle was where she shined.
DAWSON NASH
In what seems like a short period, Dawson’s throwing technique has de- veloped immensely. His growth in the sport is a direct result of his interest
in the throws growing into a passion. That passion fueled by his determina- tion and work ethic made Dawson a respected and strong competitor, who always had a smile and supportive words for his teammates and oppo- nents.
    BRADEN PANTHER-CAPTAIN
Captain Braden has been one of the most versatile track and field athletes in the past four years. He started run- ning short sprint events but has added many other running and field events to his skillset. Braden’s incredible ath- letic ability allow him to run and jump further than other people, but it’s his fearlessness and willingness to go all- out that really set him apart.
