Congratulations Seniors!
KENNON ACKS
Kennon previously served as a captain on the junior varsity team and has worked as hard as any athlete at Latin to improve his fitness, endurance and competi- tiveness for his senior year. Kennon has been a pleasure to coach and is a committed teammate - understanding the big picture in this cham- pionship run. In addition to soccer, Kennon swims and throws for the track team, and he is an outstanding student in the classroom.
DEVAN AMIN
Devan has played varsity soccer for 2 years and his role has grown constantly. He plays in the midfield where he was mostly in the attacking role but with inju- ries this year he has willingly moved to a more defensive posture in many games. Devan is very skillful and composed on the ball and has become more aggres- sive and physical with his new role. He is unselfish and is a good teammate.
GRIFFIN CAMPBELL
Griffin has been on the varsity for 2 years and unfortunately has had to deal with some injuries. This season he came in healthy and focused and took his game to a new level. Griffin has speed and strength to go with his solid technical abilities. He plays well with both feet and is not afraid of the big moment. Griffin can play all of our forward po- sitions and has really been aggressive with his game in an impactful way.
LAYTH DARWICH
Layth has been playing keeper for the varsity the last 2 years. He has been a hard worker and is a great train- ing partner, supporting his fellow keepers. Known to the team as “L-Dog,” he is quick and fearless in his play. He
is a good shot-stopper and comes off his line well. He has been a strong teammate and has developed his skills through his good work ethic. He has not given up a goal in his approximate 100 minutes of play and has 4 saves.
