WALKER MERMANS CAPTAIN
RYAN LUPFER
This is Ryan’s first year on the varsity team after having a tremendous impact on multiple successful JV teams. Lupfer has provid-
ed crucial depth in playing either right or left fullback, often shutting down oppo- sitions’ attacks. Ryan is very aggressive in his play and works tirelessly to support his teammates on and off the field. Ryan has been a joy to coach and is also a strong contributor to the Latin la- crosse team.
COLE MEDEARIS
Cole has been a stalwart goalkeeper for the Latin program, and we are happy to have him on varsity this year. He is strong in the air, and has made a tremen- dous improvement in his overall technical abilities while on varsity. Cole has performed well in training sessions and goaltended multiple games to close out victories. Cole has been a true contributor on a team of gifted goalkeepers.
Walker is a 4-year varsity member having made the team his freshman year. He is fast, strong, and very skillful. Walker is great in both one- on-one and team defense. He leads and organizes our defense, and plays a key
role in all our restarts - taking many kicks, getting in the
box for headers, and winning many headers on defensive restarts. Walker’s level of play, his great personality and his devotion to our program have earned him the respect of his teammates and the captain’s role.
CHRISTOPHER O’LEARY
Christopher joined varsity soccer this fall after playing for multiple successful JV teams. His natural position
is in defense, but has been called on to play various roles in training. O’Leary has turned into a fan favorite, especially after his 30-yard strike against Lake Point from right-back that got the crowd into a fren- zy. Christopher has proven to be coachable and committed to the ideals of Latin soccer: working hard on and off the field.
