WALDEN BECKER-CAPTAIN
Walden is a hard worker who has improved steadily over the years, and has emerged as one of the most capable leaders
on the boys’ team – earning him the role as one of our team captains this year. His younger teammates have learned so much from him as he instructs them on drills, paces them through workouts, and teach- es them the discipline of our sport. Walden is the consum- mate student-athlete, we are grateful for his contributions to our program.
HELENA BERENS-CAPTAIN
Even as a freshman, Helena showed that she has a knack for leading by example, and by extending herself to her teammates. It is a natural fit, therefore, for her to serve as one of the girls’ team cap- tains this season. Each day in practice Helena can be found helping to pace less experienced teammates, while showing them how to put forth maximum effort in workouts and races. We are grateful for Helena’s dedica- tion to our program.
BEN BRIDGES
Although Ben has had to bat- tle through some injuries, he has come back strong for his senior season and is on the verge of some major break- throughs in the 5K. Ben is a true contributor. He embodies hard work and devotion to making his teammates better by embracing group running in workouts and races. His guidance is so effective that he is frequently appointed the leader of his pace group, We salute Ben’s dedication to the cross country program.
BRENDAN BUCCI
Brendan is a strong athlete and a conscientious team- mate. After a successful freshman track season, he embraced distance run-
ning and decided to join the cross country team as well. He stands out for his mental toughness and his desire to push himself to the max in every race and during hard workouts, The boys’ team is blessed with excellent senior leadership this season, and Brendan is an important com- ponent of that.
